The Transfers & Requisitions Tab provides a series of forms that enable you to enter data from transfers and requisitions into your system.
Requisitions are requests for transfers issued by the entity or location within the operation in need of goods. No movement of goods is associated with the requisition.
Internal Requisitions are requests for goods from one inventory location to another.
External Requisitions are requests for shipment of goods from one database to another.
Transfers involve physical movement of goods from one location or entity to another.
Internal Transfers move goods from one inventory location to another one within the same database and have no effect on overall item usage.
External Transfers involve the shipment of goods from one database to another and do have an impact on item usage.
Transfers coming into an operation act in a manner similar to purchases, they increase inventory levels, while transfers out reduce inventory levels.
The Waste Form keeps track of items that are for one reason or another discarded, spoiled, or otherwise wasted.
FOOD-TRAK also offers the Automatic Requisition and Interactive Requisition Creation utilities, which fully or partially automate the process of requisitioning items.
