Automatic Requisition Creation

The Automatic Requisition Creation utility builds all External Requisitions from a pre-selected Shopping List without user intervention. While not quite a "one button" solution, this utility nearly automates requisition creation.

  1. On the FOOD-TRAK Main Menu, locate Data Entry, then Transfers & Requisitions, the click Automatic Requisition Creation. When the wizard appears, click Next.

  2. A list of available Shopping Lists appears in the pane of the next wizard. Click to select the Shopping List you wish to process and click Next.

  3. Select the day on which you wish to have the requisitions placed using the drop-down date listing on this wizard. Check the option to automatically Print the requisitions produced by this utility if you want a paper copy of each one. Click Finished.

The Audit Trail will be displayed upon completion of the process. The Audit Trail lists each Shopping List item indicating the entity the item was requisitioned from and its price.

Items for which there was no request in the past will not be added to any PO and will show up on the Audit Trail as [not previously requested] entries. You may have to manually create an External Requisition or modify an existing one in order to include these items.

The Audit Trail also provides a complete list of each Requisition created. If you find the results of the Automatic Requisition Creation acceptable, you can Accept all changes from the Audit Trail page, or if they are not to your liking, you can Cancel all changes.

If the results are accepted and some items on the Shopping List were not placed on a Requisition, they will be retained on the original Shopping List while the other items will be deleted. The remaining items can then be placed on Requisitions using the Interactive Requisition Creation utility.

External Requisitions created by this utility can be modified to include items not assigned on them by Automatic Requisition Creation.
