As opposed to Automatic Requisition Creation, the Interactive Requisition Creation utility gives you more input in the processing of an External Requisition form. The wizard allows you to select the store from which he will request each item.
From the FOOD-TRAK Main Menu, locate Data Entry, then Transfers & Requisitions, and finally click Interactive Requisition Creation.
The wizard that is activated first gives a brief explanation of the purpose of the Interactive Requisition utility. If you feel this type of processing is appropriate to your needs, click Next; otherwise, stop the process by clicking Cancel.
Select a shopping list from which to create the requisition from those in the pane of the next wizard window. Click Next.
Select a date upon which the requisition will be placed using the drop-down lists. Additionally, there is an option that allows you to make a printout of the form when it is completed. If this option is left unchecked, the requisition form will only be visible on the selection window. Click Finished.
Each item in turn is presented with a list of past Requisitions posted for that item.
To create a Requisition for an item, click to select a vendor from the list and click OK.
You can choose not to process any item by clicking Skip instead of OK.
If you wish to select a transferable vendor for the item that does not appear on the list, click Pick Another Transferable Vendor, and use the drop-down list to select another from your database of vendors. If no past Requisitions have been made, this option will be selected automatically.
You can also cancel the entire process. To do so, click Abort Wizard. This action returns things to their original state as they were before starting Interactive Requisition Creation. You can also abort the process by clicking Cancel when the Audit Trail appears.
The utility now creates on or more Requisitions. If there is an item on the list that has not been previously requisitioned, you will be prompted to enter a vendor for that item.
On the Audit Trail, you have the option to Cancel all changes, in effect canceling the operation and returning your data to its previous state. If you choose Accept all changes, the External Requisitions are created and stored in FOOD-TRAK.
