Data Entry

Data Entry is used to enter transaction-oriented data into the system. These include inventories, invoices, sales information, transfers, and other routine transactions. The data entry forms available depend on your system configuration and the version of FOOD-TRAK you are running.

To access the Data Entry functions of FOOD-TRAK, click the Data Entry button on the Main Menu after you log in.

FOOD-TRAK Data Entry Forms function much as do paper forms, but without the paper. Designed to look like paper forms to reduce training time, the Data Entry Forms are used for entering virtually all transaction-oriented information into the system.

Once you have entered the Data Entry menu, select one of the general transaction types available by clicking the appropriate button.  General transactions include Inventory, Invoices, Purchase Orders, Transfers and Requisitions.

The next menu will enable you to further define the type of transaction you wish to make.  For example, if you select Inventory as the general type of transaction, the next menu will allow you to select between making a Profit Center, Key Item, or Full Inventory.
