The Group List lists the breakdown for all system groups. These lists show the name and other relevant data associated with each group of the selected group type. The report can be produced for:

Product Groups
Profit Centers
Recipe Groups
Main Ingredient Categories
How Cooked Categories
The report returns the Group Name, Group Level (D, M, or S), and, depending on the Group, the Account Number.
The Group Level codes on this report stand for:
D Department
M Master
S Sub-Group
Department is the first and highest level, Master is second and is a sub-group of Department. The lowest level is Sub-Group, which is a category beneath Master.
An example may be a bar, which is a department within a larger organization. What is served at the bar may become the first master-level group, and different varieties of the bar products may be in sub-groups:
