The How Cookedcategory is used to describe predominant cooking techniques such as baked, fried, steamed, boiled, etc. Grouping your items by preparation method allows you to print recipe lists by category, so that they can be used within specific areas of an operation.
You can create your list of categories on the Recipe Information section of the Item Editor. To assign an item to a How Cooked category, you’ll need to click Categories on the Recipe Information section and either make a selection from the drop-down options or add a new category by clicking the open folder button.
To print a Recipe List by How Cooked category, go to the Data Lists tab (under Reports) and select Recipe List. The wizard will let you make category selections, so that only the requested recipes will be printed.
