Tax Assignment

This tool allows multiple items to be selected and configured as taxable in one or more Profit Centers at the same time. To setup the taxable status in Item Editor > Purchasing Information > Profit Center Purchase Location screen.

How to use the Tax Assignment tool:

• Click the 'Select the items to mark as taxable' link on the left side.  Search for and place a check mark next to one or more items and click the Select button.  Your selected items appear on the left side of the screen.
• Click the 'Select the Profit Centers that the items will be taxable in' link on the right side.  Place check marks next to one or more Profit Centers.  Click the Select button.
• With the items and their associated Profit Centers appearing on the left and right sides of the screen, click the Merge or Replace button to associate the items to be taxable in the selected Profit Centers.
  • Merge -  This button appends the selected Profit Centers to the items displayed.  No previously configured taxable Profit Center configuration would be overwritten.
  • Replace - This button configures the selected items so they are marked as taxable only within the currently selected Profit Centers.  Previously configured taxable Profit Center settings could be overwritten in this case.
