This utility provides a way to check the integrity of the data in your database. This tool can be extremely helpful in pointing out inaccuracies and other potential problems with your data.
Examples of potential problems identified by Site Cleanup include items that are inventoried but are not assigned to Inventory Groups, items with unusually large conversion factors, recipes with no ingredients, and other issues that could cause inaccuracies on reports.
The scan for purchase order item codes only includes purchase orders that have not been filled or exported to a vendor, and not more than 90 days old.
We recommend you utilize this tool often to help maintain the accuracy of your data.
Users with large databases or high transaction volumes may consider scheduling this function to run at night or when system usage is at a minimum.
You will not be able to see this utility if you do not have security rights to perform the operation.
Running Site Cleanup
From the FOOD-TRAK® Main Menu, locate Administration, Database, then click Database Cleanup.
The Cleanup page appears, giving you 2 optional operations:
Delete Transactions with No Headers. Transactions that contain no headers are typically the result of data corruption, and removing them will help avoid problems in the future.
Send Logged Issues to Message Queue. Check this option to have the system send a copy of the database issues found to a file in the Task Queue Manager. You can print this file so that you will have a paper copy of the database issues that you may have to fix on-site.
Click Schedule after you have selected any options. This takes you to the Task Scheduler, where you can run this utility at a preset time.
